Who these terms are with

DateAndTimeCalculator.org is operated by DateAndTimeCalculator.org ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the site. By using it you accept them; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What you may do

Use the calculators freely, for personal or commercial purposes, without payment, registration or attribution. Share links to results. Copy results into your own documents, reports and correspondence. No permission is needed for any of that.

What you may not do

  • Interfere with the site's operation, or use automated means to place unreasonable load on it. Reasonable, ordinary use — including occasional scripted access — is not what this is aimed at.
  • Copy the site's written explanations, guides or design wholesale and publish them as your own. The calculated results are yours; the prose around them is not.
  • Present results from this site as professional legal, payroll, financial, tax or medical advice, whether ours or your own.
  • Use the site for anything unlawful.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, code and the arrangement of its content belong to us or our licensors. The output of a calculation — the dates and figures a calculator gives you — carries no such claim. Those are facts, you may use them however you wish, and we assert no rights over them.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". Considerable care has gone into the accuracy of the calculations, and they are covered by an automated test suite that runs against known edge cases — but no warranty is given that any result is correct, complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, and none is given that the site will be available or uninterrupted.

Public holiday calendars, time zone rules and statutory counting conventions change, sometimes at short notice and occasionally with retroactive effect. National holiday data excludes regional, state and company holidays. The disclaimer sets out the known limits of the data in detail, and is worth reading before you rely on anything.

Your responsibility to verify

You are responsible for checking any result before relying on it. Where a date or duration carries a legal, contractual or financial consequence — a statutory deadline, a limitation date, a notice period, a filing date, a payroll calculation — verify it against the official source and the wording that governs the matter.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from reliance on any result it produces. That includes missed deadlines, incorrect payments, lost profit, lost business, lost opportunity and any other indirect or consequential loss.

The site is free, no account is created, and no payment is taken. If you need a figure you can rely on for a decision with real consequences, take advice from somebody qualified to give it.

If you are a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, which cannot be excluded by agreement. If any part of these terms conflicts with those rights, your rights prevail.

Third-party links and advertising

The site links to external sources such as official holiday calendars and standards documents. Their content is not under our control, and a link is not an endorsement.

The site also displays advertising supplied by Google. We do not choose or vet individual adverts, and their appearance is not an endorsement. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them, on their terms. What advertising means for your data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Suspension and changes to the site

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including individual calculators. Since the site is free and creates no account, nothing is lost if we do — though we would not remove a working tool without reason.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. The unenforceable provision is treated as modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable, or removed if that is not possible.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may still have the right to bring proceedings in your own country and to rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the law that applies there. Nothing here takes that away.
