Cookie policy
No cookie is set until you have agreed to it.

Cookies set by this site
This site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies involved come from Google's advertising, and none of them is set until you have consented.
On your first visit you are shown a consent message. Until you answer it, this site has already instructed Google that storage, personalised advertising and the use of advertising data are all denied. If you decline, you still see adverts — they are simply chosen from the content of the page rather than from anything about you.
Local storage
The site does use your browser's local storage. This is a similar technology to cookies, with one important difference: it is never transmitted to any server. It holds a handful of preferences so you do not have to set them again on every page.
| Stored value | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Public holiday country | Keeps your chosen holiday calendar across the business day calculators. |
| Weekend days | Remembers which days you treat as non-working. |
| Time zone preferences | Remembers your home and target cities on the time zone tools. |
| Payroll settings | Remembers your rounding increment and overtime threshold. |
These are strictly functional. They exist only to save you re-entering your own settings, they contain no identifier, and they never leave your device — so there is nothing here that requires consent. No dates, times or personal details are stored.
Analytics
No analytics are currently in use. When they are introduced they will be cookieless and aggregate-only, so this section will stay short.
Advertising cookies
If you consent, Google may set the following. Google sets and controls these, so the durations are what Google currently applies rather than something we choose; its maintained list is at business.safety.google/adscookies .
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads | This domain, by Google | Measures ad interactions and limits how often you see the same advert | Up to 13 months |
__gpi | This domain, by Google | Used for ad personalisation and frequency capping | Up to 13 months |
IDE | doubleclick.net | Ad selection and measuring whether an advert led to an action | Up to 13 months |
test_cookie | doubleclick.net | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies at all | About 15 minutes |
NID | google.com | Remembers your Google ad preferences | Up to 6 months |
FCCDCF / FCNEC | This domain, by Google | Records the consent choice you made, so you are not asked again on every page | Up to 13 months |
The consent record itself is the one thing stored whichever way you answer — otherwise you would be asked again on every page.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same consent message, and your new choice takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent is deliberately no harder than giving it.
Clearing what is stored
Clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings removes everything described above, including your saved preferences and any advertising cookies. The calculators simply return to their defaults. Nothing breaks, and nothing is lost that cannot be re-selected in a moment.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do no tracking of our own for these signals to disable. Where your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the consent platform treats it as a signal in the regions that recognise it. Google's handling of these signals is Google's to describe, and is covered by its policies linked from the privacy policy.
